Today we had our first Amber Flag committee meeting. The Amber Flag initiative is in association with Pieta House. It is being run by our wonderful students from 1st - 6th Class. The purpose of the committee is to promote positive mental health and wellbeing within our school community. The children have been brainstorming on possible ideas to help achieve this and we can't wait to see what amazing things they come up with in the next six months. As it is the first year of Amber Flag in the school, our main aim is to achieve “Amber Flag” status for our school, meaning the committee will have demonstrated a number of efforts to promote positive mental health and wellbeing in our school.
